
As you may have already noticed, we are in the midst of refurbishing a quaint old brick building located within the parking lot of the Elizabeth Feed & Seed on Church Street Extension. Our goal is to create a small eatery that will specialize in great food and friendly service. Now you could ask yourself why open anything with the state of a very slow recovery to our economy. Our answer is the following: We believe. Yes we believe just as those some 80 years ago did when the stock market crashed and this great country entered into one of the toughest times, the Great Depression. The “Three Little Pigs“—released May 27, 1933, and produced by Walt Disney—was seen as symbolic of the Great Depression, with the wolf representing the Depression and the three little pigs representing average citizens who eventually succeeded by working together.

We believe in the resolve of our neighbors, we have already met many while getting the Mule ready. We believe that people remember the food, but really remember the experience. Perhaps it is a smile or a laugh or perhaps a sincere “thanks for coming in”.
